In two weeks, Kentuckians will decide to keep Ernie Fletcher or make a change with Steve Beasher for Governor for the next four years. Polls don't favor Fletcher and while I try to be objective, it's deserving. If you were able to watch
the debate you may have noticed Ernie mentioning Owensboro on a few occasions as well as Henderson and Hawesville. Ernie certainly hasn't been a friend to the northwestern communities so I can understand that he'd want to butter us up now. I'm not buying it. I still recall when Ernie tried to eliminate health benefits to school teachers and employees. For me, Republicans need admonishing for their reverse Robin Hood tactics that they've implemented in the last several years. Ernie had an opportunity to lead but instead, went for greed in promoting his party's agenda and thunbing his nose at the laws that you and I abide by. Good bye Ernie. If you look at
Mitch McConnell’s poll numbers maybe we'll replace a senator next.
