After a struggling season, perhaps his worst in his career, Michael Waltrip comes back with a top qualifying position for the Taladega 500. Like him or hate him, Michael's ups and downs in his career are not because he isn't a good driver. I thought Dale Earnhardt said it best when he took Michael on as a driver; "Michael not winning a NASCAR race yet is circumstantial", and indeed it was. Micheal went on to win his 1st points race while  racing for DEI in the same race as Earhardt's untimely death.  He's racing as this is typed so we'll see how he does. I'm not an adamant Waltrip fan but regardless, good luck Michael.
